"Gustav Looper threw over 100 feet in the javelin in his first competition ever in that event," said head coach Trenton Roth. "Kyler Fox also threw the discus almost 100 feet in his first outing on the field side. Easton Dial moved into the top three all-time performances for Florida College in 2 events: the 1500 and 800 meter runs. We are excited about the progress of everyone on the team, and what the rest of the season holds. While everyone certainly performed well, freshman Eli DeGeneffe broke the records for the 100 meter dash at 11.68 seconds and the 200 meter dash at 23.43 seconds."
"It was really cool to be able to compete for the school, and watch my teammates compete. I felt good running but definitely have room for improvement, but hard work pays off for me and my teammates. I am very thankful to God for the ability to run and break some records," added DeGeneffe.
