Lady Falcons Down Faulkner, Remain Undefeated in Conference
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College women's soccer team took the field Saturday morning for their second SSAC soccer match against Faulkner University Eagles. The Lady Eagles and your Lady Falcons went back and forth in an intense physical battle during the first twenty-five minutes of the match. Mashell Rodriguez crossed the ball into Michaella Krebser who blasted the ball inside of the 18-yard box low and into the right corner in the 29th minute. The physicality from both sides increased for the next ten minutes until Kiara Romero found Allison Hernandez from a cross into the box in the 39th minute. A minute later Michaella Krebser and Mashell Rodriguez linked up again, but, this time Mashell Rodriguez was the Lady Falcon to find the back of the net.
The second half produced an all-around defensive performance from Florida College to leave the game without conceding a goal. Tori Fullagar recorded her fifth shutout of the season as well as her second in SSAC play. Coach David had this to say after the game, "The ladies performance ended the week with two wins. I am proud of how hard they've worked to place themselves in this position." Come and support your men and women's team this Saturday as they travel to Georgia to take on Brewton Parker College! The women play at 1 PM & the men play at 3:30 PM.
