Lady Falcons Complete Season Sweep of Welch College
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Florida College women's soccer took on the Welch College Flames Saturday, September 28 for their first home game of the season.
Kat Llanos scored the first goal for Florida College five minutes into the game, followed by two goals by Michaela Nicholson with an assist from Sasha Garcia. Kiara Romero then found the back of the net three times in a row, once with an assist from Nicholson. With twelve minutes remaining in the half, Hannah Garcia scored back-to-back goals on assists from Llanos and Briana Luna. B. Luna then scored assisted by H. Garcia. Captain, Mashell Rodriguez, who has been out of all season play due to injury, took the field with 11:15 remaining in the half and scored 21 seconds later. Hannah Garcia rounded out the scoring for the Lady Falcons in the first half on an assist from Shelby Lovett, bringing the score to 11-0. The Falcons shuffled the field for the second half, with goals being scored by Kara Webb and Mashell Rodriguez leaving the final score 13-0, leaving FC with an overall record of 6-0-1. The Lady Falcons face the Brewton-Parker Barons at home Thursday, October 3, for their first conference game of the season.
