MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - After a hard fought match with the Barons, the Lady Falcons finished their match in a tie on Saturday.
Florida College started the game with energy after a goal in the 14th minute by Paula Rincon Carrillo, assisted by Victoria Fonseca. The Falcons took possession of the ball in the first half and denied the Barons a chance to score while only allowing two shots to be taken in the first 45.
The Barons bounced back in the second half and Kathleen Fisher added a goal in the 69th minute to tie the game.
The Falcons took 18 shots in the second half compared to the Barons' eight. Florida College took a total of 26 shots throughout the match, the most so far this season.
"We definitely took a step in the right direction today. We put all of our training into practice, and I believe that we can only go up from here," said head coach Joanie Dilbeck.
