Lady Falcons Welcome Lily Powell

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College women's soccer team has officially announced the signing of incoming freshman Lily Powell from Gardendale High School.

Powell is a 5'7 center back from Gardendale, Ala. She was named the team's Defensive MVP in 2024, All Metro First Team, and Rocket of the Year in 2022 and 2023. She previously played for the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club.

Academically, Powell posted a 4.25 cumulative grade point average, was a member of the National Honor Society, and served as a student council member. 

"I am so blessed and excited to be playing soccer at the next level at Florida College!" said Powell. "It is a unique opportunity to be able to focus on academics, sports, and my faith."

"Lily will bring quality to our program on and off the field," added Head Coach David Ashwood. "I am excited to have her here and see what she can do for us during her time at FC."
