MIAMI, Fla. – The Florida College Women's Soccer team suffered a 7-1 loss at the hands of the Florida Memorial University Lions.
The Lady Falcons started out in a bit of a bind conceding a penalty early and going down 1-0. Despite the rough start, the Lady Falcons were able to level just eight minutes later a well struck ball from Kendle Valido. The Lady Falcons held the Lions scoreless until six minutes left in the first half when the Lions scored three goals to send this one into halftime 4-1.
Unfortunately, the second half was more of the same, as the Lions would score three more unanswered goals to draw this game to a close 7-1. Florida Memorial's Sierra Bartley scored a natural hattrick in the first half and scored four goals on the day. Florida College had more possession in the second half and fired five shots, but none were able to beat keeper Lucia Martinez Garci.
