Florida College Welcomes Cortney MacKay as Head Women's Soccer Coach
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Florida College has officially named Cortney MacKay as the new head coach of the women’s soccer program.
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Florida College has officially named Cortney MacKay as the new head coach of the women’s soccer program.
A 2024 graduate of Florida College, MacKay brings a deep connection to the program and a strong understanding of Falcon soccer culture. Originally from Hubbard, Ohio, she was a standout defender during her playing days with the Falcons. Her collegiate career was marked by numerous honors, including the 2016 MVP Award, Most Defensive Player Award, and the Falcon Spirit Award.
MacKay now returns to her alma mater to lead the next generation of student-athletes as the program enters a new chapter.
“I am so honored to step into the role of Women’s Head Soccer Coach at Florida College!” MacKay said. “I have learned so much from my years at FC and I’m excited to build a Christ-centered culture that encourages the players to pursue greatness—on the field, in the classroom, and in their faith. I am dedicated to building a program where athletes grow not just as players, but as strong Christian women. I’m thrilled to be a part of this team and I’m looking forward to an amazing season!”
