Taina Transfers to the Falcons

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla.- Florida College is proud to announce the addition of Taina Nunes to the Women’s Volleyball team. Transferring in from New Mexico Junior College, Nunes brings a well-rounded skill set to the Falcons' roster.

During the 2024 season, Taina earned honorable mention as a conference setter. Her achievements extend beyond athletics as well. She was an active member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was named to the WJAC First Team All-Academic in both Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.

Taina will be pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Florida College and shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter:

“I am looking forward to building great friendships and making lasting memories while playing good volleyball and acquiring high quality knowledge at FC!”

Head Coach Kerri Mitchell expressed her excitement about the addition of Nunes: 

“We are thrilled to have Taina joining our team. Having played at the collegiate level previously, she will bring a level of expertise that we are excited to have on our team. She comes with a high volleyball IQ and skill set. We look forward to watching what Taina can do.”
