LAKELAND, FLA. – Florida College dropped a three-set match to Southeastern on Tuesday night, falling 26-24, 25-16, 25-10.
The Falcons (7-10) opened strong in the first set, pushing the Fire to extra points before coming up just short. From there, Florida College couldn't keep pace offensively, finishing with a .050 team hitting percentage.
Cassidy Lee led the Falcons with nine kills on a .350 hitting percentage, adding one ace and seven digs. Raquel Teixeira tallied 12 kills and 10 digs, while Fiona Sampaio added five kills and 17 digs to anchor the back row. Setter Taina de Lima Nunes directed the offense with 30 assists and picked up eight digs.
Florida College will look to regroup as they go into their next game on the road against Webber International University.
