Florida College Falls to St. Thomas in Four-Set Battle

After dropping two close sets to start the night, the Falcons battled back to take the third before St. Thomas closed out the match in the fourth.
Outside hitter Cassidy Lee led Florida College with 14 kills, 10 digs, and five total blocks for a team-high 20.5 points. Fiona Sampaio recorded 11 kills and 12 digs, while Margarida Almeida added 10 kills and 10 digs. Setter Taina de Lima Nunes finished with 37 assists and two aces, helping guide the Falcons' offense throughout the night.
Florida College tallied nine service aces, led by Oliwia Malinowska with three. The Falcons also collected 50 digs, with Lee, Sampaio, and Almeida anchoring the back row. At the net, the team combined for six solo blocks and four block assists, keeping several sets within reach.
Despite the balanced effort, Florida College hit just .063 as a team, while St. Thomas posted a .200 attack percentage.
