Marietta, Ga. August 22- 23, 2025 — Florida College volleyball achieved a 3-1 record this past weekend at the 2025 Running Eagle Classic tournament hosted by Life University.
Match 1 – Reinhardt 3, Florida College 0
(25–8, 25–20, 25–22)
The Falcons opened play Friday morning with a straight-set loss to Reinhardt. Cassidy Lee, Fiona Sampaio, and Raquel Teixeira each tallied nine kills, while setter Taina de Lima Nunes posted 24 assists and nine digs.
Match 2 – Florida College 3, Brenau 0
(25–21, 25–22, 25–17)
Florida College bounced back later that day with its first win of the season. Teixeira led the way with 17 kills and 10 digs, while Lee added 13 kills and nine digs. Sampaio recorded 10 kills and 13 digs, and Nunes guided the offense with 32 assists and 15 digs.
Match 3 – Florida College 3, Truett McConnell 0
(25–22, 25–21, 25–20)
The Falcons carried their momentum into Saturday, sweeping Truett McConnell. Teixeira again paced the offense with 13 kills and 15 digs, while Lee added 11 kills on a .385 hitting percentage. Sampaio contributed nine kills and 14 digs, and Nunes dished out 29 assists with 15 digs.
Match 4 – Florida College 3, Talladega 0
(25–9, 25–14, 25–8)
Florida College closed the trip in dominant fashion, hitting .343 as a team against Talladega. Teixeira had 14 kills and 11 digs, Margarida Almeida broke out with 10 kills on .625 hitting, and Lee added 10 kills with eight digs. Nunes posted 26 assists, and Addeson Coffey led the defense with 17 digs.
The Falcons (3–1) totaled 155 kills, 141 assists, and 227 digs across the weekend. They return to action next weekend for more non-conference play.
